A letter to you...
Hello! How do we write a letter to two people we've never met, yet who have already stolen our hearts? Well, here we go! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Words cannot contain all of the love and emotion that comes with adoption. We know that this is a confusing and challenging time for you while you are trying to find the best option for you and your baby. We admire you so much for choosing life and considering adoption. We hope you feel loved and supported no matter where you're at in your journey. If you decide to make an adoption plan, we assure you that we promise to respect you and whatever level of openness and contact you want to have with your child. We will cherish and love your child with our hearts and souls and provide a safe, happy, home, and a life with every opportunity possible. If you so choose, we would be honored to be a part of your journey with you through the tears and the joy.
Love,
- Erik & Julie
OUR PROMISE TO YOU
We will cherish and love your child with our hearts and souls, provide a safe, happy home, and a life full of opportunity.
We both admire independence and believe children should grow to be confident, vibrant young adults. We look forward to teaching the value of hard work and determination so they will be resilient. We feel it’s important to stay involved and take a personal interest in their passions, so they are inspired to discover themselves with support and connection.
The importance of education will be stressed in our home, and we will be there to guide their educational journey. We value our health and wellbeing and will ensure they maintain a healthy lifestyle. We do not believe physical discipline is the way to teach children. Instead, we believe in utilizing respectful positive discipline, emotional coaching, and clear, patient communication.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
When you know, you know.
On our first date, it was love at first sight, Julie had a broken headlight that Erik was able to fix at the end of the evening which solidified the fact that he was “the one.” From then on, the rest was history!
We both work from home, so we take many lunch breaks to walk Frankie or play ball with her. We usually end the day cooking together and watching a funny show or drama on Netflix.
Weekends are either very lazy, consisting of making breakfast tacos and walking Frankie to our local coffee shop or going on hike and bike rides with friends.
We love to escape to the mountains as well, either camping or renting a condo so we can go stand-up paddle-boarding or kayaking or biking. Whenever the opportunity arises we love to travel often either on a family vacation, a quick domestic trip or somewhere in Europe!
